IPA free fountain solution
Usage and Concern
IPA free fountain solution can be use in total IPA free in printing. The catch is all on the printing machine itself and the dampening rollers. The printing machine itself has to be in a normal status, and the pressure on the dampening rollers must be normal (pressure is base on the manufacturer data). The dampening rollers must not be very old, torn, glazy, or graze. Specially, big vibrating during printing (small vibrating is allow).
Usage :
1. 3 kg of fountain solution in to 100 kg of water.
2. 4 kg of fountain solution in to 100 kg of water.
The amount of fountain solution use depends on the printing machine manufacturing brand and the status of printing machine. Amount of fountain solution must be mix properly, this is essential.
Concerns :
After the water and the fountain solution mix, wait for the temperature reach
8℃-12℃ degree. Do not print when temperature is over 12℃ degree. Specially when printing screen dots, the temperature will affect the dots, creating a tail.
When the mix solution reach the desired temperature, start printing. At the start of printing , if the printed paper have dry spot, please add water at the computer desk. Added water may not excess 20 notch, if it excess 20 notch, please check all dampening roller for pressure or open up the metering roller. When using IPA the metering roller is set to be more dry, but with IPA free fountain solution , the metering roller has to be open up more to let more water pass through.
IPA free fountain solution concerns:
1. Must have enough fountain solution to mix with water.
2. Pressure on all dampening rollers must be normal (pressure is base on the manufacturer data).
3. Most important is the metering roller. It controls the water flow to the plate. If metering roller is old and glazy, it wouldn’t carry the water evenly.
