At first I try to practice all basic box & tray styles as the way to get as much knowledge, so I start with an SRC style box. It's about a whole day I finally find out how to make a mate in ArtiosCAD, here's some note about it: Very important: - Alway click on the shown named of the mate area/glue area to modify the properties - It’s fine just use “Define mate area” to generate the mate area or glue area. - Usually use copy not mirror to get the target area (outside) - The mated area always should be the exactly the same name. - Make sure the mate area/glue area defined as outside and the target area defined as inside. Steps: - Draw an rectangle area or define an area use “define mate area” tools - Define this area as a mate area > outside, give it a name as desired, checked show name and show side in it’s properties. - copy it or mirror it to the target area as desired. (Usually use copy not mirror mode, it’s the most important part) - Use select tools and click on the shown named of the target area’s name to modify the properties as target, inside. - Convert the design to 3d and use mate or mate all tools to complete the mate progress. Hope someone could enjoy it : ) |
