According to my experience on working in a printshop for 20 years, here are my considerations:
- if you expose no more than 1.000 plates/month, and you have only short-runs jobs, I suggest you trying the new chemistry-free plates;
- for more than 1.000 plates/month, and short-runs/mid-runs jobs, try the single layers plates
- for long-run jobs, the best alternative are the double layer plates;

now single layer plate is cheaper than chemistry-free plate in China, what about yours?

If you consider only the plates, yes, chemistry-free are more expensive than single layers.
But you should consider the development system, the plate processor equipment maintenance, developer purchases, water wastes, etc
