Hatching can be done using standard Adobe Illustrator tools.
I have Illustrator in Russian, but judging by the appearance of the panels, I think everything is clear.
I simply create a new fill pattern from two lines.
Fill the path. Then right click on the path, select transform → rotate → uncheck...
